Introduction 

Central Ground Water Board, Kerala Region, Trivandrum carries chemical analysis of ground water samples regularly for the purpose of monitoring ground water quality in the State.  A total of 915 samples pertaining to NHS, Explorations, reappraisal and Pollution studies were analysed for basic parameters and heavy metal analysis involving 11,318 constituents for the year 2002 and 2003.  The Laboratory has been upgraded to Level II+ under Hydrology Project.
