Information, Education and Communication Scheme (IEC) is a Sceme of Ministry of Water Resources(MOWR).
Information, Education and Communication Scheme (IEC) has been launched during XI plan with the aims to create awareness among various target groups about the importance of development and management of water resources in a holistic manner with due emphasis on a coordinated effort for addressing various water related issues. The overall scenario of water resources, dependency on water for various requirements of the society, the urgent need for conservation of water and preservation of its quality, the advantages of adoption of integrated approach and participatory management etc. issues are covered under the IEC Scheme.
